Projects for 2010

BackCountry response team

Backcountry Response Teams (BCRT) are a unique and growing component of WTA's trail maintenance program.  Volunteers backpack into remote locations for three to five days, carrying their own food, gear and trail tools to respond to maintenance needs that are beyond the reach of a day crew or a volunteer vacation. 30 BCRTs hit the trails in the 2010 season, contributing a total of 6,600 hours to trail maintenance, and spanned a vast area from the Pacific Coast to the Idaho border.
