Projects for 2008

Lower fork of the skokomish river trail

More than 100 Washington Trail Association volunteers contributed 1,724 hours of time to repair and restore the Lower South Fork of the Skokomish River.  One of the most beautiful and popular trails on the Olympic National Forest, the Skokomish provides a family-friendly, multi-season opportunity through lush forest with ancient trees.  WTA and the Forest Service have been engaged in a multi-year project to pull the trail back from the river as floods have continued to damage sections of trail consistently throughout the years.

Thank you, Boy Scouts!
